Performances at 11.30 and 14.30
Beyond the Trenches is a musical entertainment, commissioned by Bentley Priory Museum for performance in 2017. Audience reaction was so positive (see below) that it is being revived in 2018.
“wonderfully uplifting”, “well-balanced content”, “the choir excelled themselves”, “disciplined dynamics and tempi were really impressive”, “consummate performers”, “excellent performance”, “the emotion of the event was fabulous”, “the programme was beautifully put together”, “the choirs sang their hearts out”, “soloists were equally impressive!”
The concert features songs from the first world war alongside songs from 1900-1920. The programme includes new songs on the subject of WW1 written by Bryan Kesselman and Philip Barnett. Performers include members of Tonic Choir, children from Kenmore Park School and guest soloist, Sarah Stroh.
Tickets priced at £9 (Under 16s: £6) will be available from 10.30 on Monday 24 September 2018 from the Museum website
