Outing to The Musical Museum postponed to Spring 2021
Join us for a full day at The Musical Museum which is in Brentford, near Kew.
Date to be announced in early 2021.

From their website:
The Musical Museum tells the changing story of how people have captured and listened to music over the last four centuries. From tiny music boxes to the Mighty Wurlitzer theatre organ in our concert hall, the collection includes an impressive array of instruments and inventions, including reproducing pianos, orchestrions, self-playing violins, pipe organs, gramophones and synthesisers. Find out how music was recorded and reproduced, see and hear them in action.
Philip and Bryan (and several other Tonic members) have been around the museum found it to be well worth a visit.
We have organised a special day where we take over the whole site and can therefore accommodate 80 people. We will split you into 4 groups of 20 as some areas of the museum are too small for a larger group. During the day, which will run from 10.15 to 16.15, you will do the following:
In summary, a 6 hour musical programme designed by Bryan and Philip, with plenty of breaks built in to ensure the day is not too taxing.
The cost for the day will be £30 per person.
Tonic members may buy a second ticket for a non-member.
Parking in the area is possible, but challenging. We will reserve the small number of spaces in the museum for those with mobility problems. Please let us know when you book if you need one of these. Kew Bridge Station is a short walk from the museum.
We have booked a coach, which will be the best way of enjoying the day for most members. We expect this to leave Hatch End (apologies to Tonic 4) at 9.15 and arrive back around 17.15. The cost will be £10 per person.
How to book
As we had to postpone the original outing we already have 65 people coming and a full coach.
This will probably change over the coming months, so please email Philip in the first instance.
