What a Wonderful World, Can You Feel The Love Tonight?, Singing in the Rain Medley, Wonderful Copenhagen, Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on My Head, Unchained Melody, Feed the Birds, Lullaby of Broadway
A performance by Entertaining People
Tonic Choirs' Musical Directors Bryan and Philip are also experienced performers in their own right. They will be singing a set of songs from the movies including Road to Morocco, Nella Fantasia, The Trail of the Lonesome Pine, and an Irving Berlin medley.
Brian Gilbert is a film director and writer. His films include Tom and Viv, Not Without My Daughter, Vice Versa and Wilde, which featured Stephen Fry and Jude Law heading a star-studded cast. Brian is a tutor at the prestigious National Film and Television School. Less well known is Brian's enthusiasm for and knowledge of music. In a short talk, Brian will talk about the role of music in the movies.
An opportunity for audience participation
The event will end with a BIG SING where the audience will be encouraged to join the choir in some more songs from the movies.
Refreshments (included in the ticket price)
There will be a break in the afternoon for tea and cake.
We also hope to be able to show movie clips and to announce the results of a Tonic Choir poll on our most popular musical movies.
